Writeoff in 17-jan-1978 at Ramstein Airbase, Germany. The plane landed hard with only its nosegear extended. It skidded along the length of the runway, was caugt in the safetynet and came to a stop in a field about 30 meters off the runway. The pilot  was unhurt. The fighter was written off and brought to Kjevik, Norway for technical educational use. Scrapped in summer 1985.Cockpit section owned near Arendal 1985-1989. Since 1989 The cockpit-section exists near Bergen city with a private collector.Same owner also have F-86K 54-1248
Større havari 17 januar 1978 på Ramstein flystasjon i Tyskland. Flyet landt med bare nesehjulet ute og skled langs hele rullebanen, traff bremsenettet og havnet ca 30 meter ute på et jorde utenfor banen. Flygeren,var uskadd. Flyet ble avskrevet etter havariet og avgitt til LTS, Kjevik for instruksjonsbruk. Skrotet sommeren 1985.Cockpit eiet nær Arendal 1984-1989. Siden 1989 befinner Cockpitseksjonen i privat eie nær Bergen .Samme eier har også en F-86K 54-1248 på sitt landsted.

.The fate for 238 Starfighter, it was transported to Hokksund scrapdealer and scrapped there short time after these pictures were taken.
.Cockpit section was bought here ,and transported to Froland ,Arendal.
